Join us for the Indiana Barn Foundation's all-day Practical Restoration workshop led by master timber framer, Rick Collins of Trillium Dell/Firmitas. The event is designed to address common issues with older timber-framed barns and will focus on tie beam and mortise and tenon failures. Attendees will learn the causes for such failures and best practices for their repair.

Registration is limited to 20 participants and all participants must be 18 years old or older. This workshop is perfect for do-it-yourself barn owners or those serving as their own general contractor; for contractors, architects, historic preservation professionals and others who want to focus on preservation and repair instead of replacement; or for anyone interested in learning traditional building methods.

The workshop will take place at a privately-owned barn in Lebanon, Boone County, Indiana. Instruction will begin at 9 a.m. and will conclude at 4 p.m. Lunch, drinks and all take-aways will be included, as well as an IBF t-shirt for each participant.

The cost is $150 through September 25th when registration will close. There will not be an option for on-site registration, participants must register in advance no later than September 25th.

Registrants will be contacted with additional details regarding location.
