The 2021 BARN TOUR sponsored by The Indiana Barn Foundation will be held on...

Saturday, September 25, 2021

10 AM to 4 PM

Join the Indiana Barn Foundation in celebrating the first ever Hoosier Heritage Barn Week by attending this self-guided tour of eight stops that includes more than 10 heritage barns in northern Allen and southern Dekalb counties. The tour kicks off at the ACRES Land Trust Dustin Barn, 1958 Chapman Road, Huntertown, Indiana, where tickets for the tour and a raffle will be on sale. Each stop is an opportunity to admire and learn more about these icons of Indiana’s agricultural history and to appreciate the stewardship and care that has preserved them for generations.

Tickets are $20 each, children 16 and under are free with an adult, and can be purchased before the tour at https://indianabarnfoundation.wildapricot.org/events or on the day of the tour at the ACRES Land Trust Dustin Barn.

The tour is made possible by our sponsors, Dairyland Seed, Dataprint Initiatives, and Who Cut the Cheese Food Truck.

Here is a sneak-peek of a few of the barns included in the tour:

A bonus building located with one of the barns is this small structure built for weighing wagons. Located on the exterior is the original old sign, HOWE STANDARD SCALES. Inside, the old scales are still intact.

Unique details add character to this 1800s cantilevered bank barn.
